Academic Service
Throughout my time as a Graduate Student, I have experienced the importance of developing community. This has emerged in the form of service to the discipline, building support groups, and dedication to the community I study.
Currently I serve as a Student Editor for Social Problems Journal and as a Contributing Editor for Mobilizing Ideas.
Community Engagement
Since 2015, I have volunteered throughout the Greater Pittsburgh community through Athletic Trauma Unit (ATU), Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh, University of Pittsburgh, YMCA Y Achievers and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. This has allowed me to conduct community engaged research and to give back through both my scholarship and time.
